Rationale
The overall aim of mental health services is to help service users get back to living an ordinary life as far as possible. Assessment should be comprehensive and this includes assessing a persons work potential. Mental health and social care services also need to help support the development of employment opportunities for people with schizophrenia.

Summarized CommentsAdd Comment
  • * This is not usually available in primary health care.
  • * I am unsure about the annual assessment being required, nor that it is required for all disorders. This measure needs to be tailored to specific populations.
  • There should be a client specific variable of client volition that needs to be mentioned i.e. desire & access may be 2 different variables.
